My Other World 3 - A Dinner Invitation

September 2, 2017

I am naked on the main deck of Monica Von Greensvelt’s yacht with my beautiful Esteban by my side.  The warm breezes off the ocean are gentle and the brilliant, velvety blue sky is peppered with lacy white clouds.

Monica takes a colorful cocktail from a tray held by a uniformed crew member and raises her glass in the direction of our lagoon.  “You have found a perfect paradise my dears.  Do not let anyone spoil this beautiful little world.”

Esteban takes my hand and smiles at me.  “I would venture to say that Paradise found me.”

Crew members bustle about the sparkling yacht attending to guests and polishing the varnished surfaces of the luxurious ship.  I have been living in our rustic lagoon for so long now, such a glitzy environment feels very foreign.  None of the crew or guests of the ship find my nakedness out of place.  I am like a bird that has landed on the deck.

After drawing another sip from her cocktail, Monica smiles,  “I have some fabulous guests flying in for dinner tonight.   Esteban, you and your lovely wife must stay for dinner!  I insist.  The famous photographer Edward Clarendon will be coming.  Valerie, I am sure Edward will be as captivated by you as we all have been.  My dears, you both have to stay for dinner.  There is plenty of room on board, we will have a room made up for you.”

“I’m not really dressed for a fancy dinner party.  Do you have any clothes I can borrow?”  I ask.

“My dear, your beautiful frame would get lost in one of my ensembles, you must attend just as you are.”

  1. Is this a fantasy? A few days ago you were in high school with a summer job and flying off to Fuertaventura and now your're married to Estaban and being invited onto a multi-millionair's yaught in what seems to be the Mediteranean? How did all this come about? By the way I live in a small town just south of Santa Rosa. I wish there was a naturist resort close by but the nearist is about a two hour drive. I think your artwork is great. Would love to see more of it. Have you published or are art trails?

    1. Hello Peter, Thanks for stopping by and reading the blog. There are three posts that delve into a fantasy realm I visit where I am much older. The first post is in December of 2016, and I fantasize about living in the South Pacific and being a pearl diver. I revisit this fantasy world in two other posts, referring to this place as my “Other World”. It is a bit confusing because I don’t do a good job of identifying my fantasy world episodes. The Muir Grove Sun Academy is a fictitious club because I want to disguise the identity of the actual club I go to, which is closer to the Bay Area. I also change the ethnicity, gender and age of the club members I write about so I respect their privacy as well, but I have a feeling they all know who I am writing about when they read my blog. I am glad you appreciate the artwork. I haven’t published any projects, but am thinking about putting up an Etsy store and will let you know when I put that up.
      Thanks again,
      Val

    2. This clears things up quite a bit. Your stories sounded very authentic, but I could find no reference to Muir Grove which led me to conclude it must all be fictional. I can imagine which club you might be visiting near Santa Cruz. So glad to learn that you are sharing actual stories of your life with us.
